Electric Shower Installation

We recently completed an electric shower installation project for a valued client, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to the highest standards. This project aimed not only to meet but exceed our client's expectations for safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. From initial consultation to final testing, every step was meticulously planned and executed to ensure the installation was flawless and reliable.

Initial Assessment and Planning

Consultation: Discuss needs and assess bathroom layout.
Inspection: Ensure electrical and plumbing systems support the new shower.

Safety Precautions

Water Supply: Turn off the main valve and drain the system.
Electricity: Switch off the main circuit breaker and confirm power is off.

Choosing and Preparing the Location

Select Location: Accessible spot, away from direct spray, easy pipe, and cable routing.
Mark Mounting Points: Use a template to mark and level the positions.

Mounting the Shower Unit

Drill Holes: Drill and insert wall plugs.
Secure Unit: Attach and level the shower unit with screws.

Plumbing Connections

Prepare Pipe: Cut and clean the pipe.
Install Valve: Fit an isolation valve near the unit, using PTFE tape for seals.

Electrical Connections

Select Cable: Use suitable cable (6mm² or 10mm²).
Run Cable: Route from consumer unit to shower.
Install Breaker: Fit a dedicated RCD or MCB.
Connect Shower: Follow manufacturer’s instructions for secure connections.

Fitting the Riser Rail Kit

Mark Bracket Positions: Determine height and mark.
Install Rail: Drill, insert plugs, and secure the rail.

Final Testing

Water Supply: Turn on and check for leaks.
Electricity: Restore power and test the shower. Ensure proper function and safety.
